Your seven-day brief
Official publications from the past seven days and imported events for the next seven. A factual digest, not a forecast or an AI-written market opinion. Times use this device's time zone.
Personal alerts
Checked on desk load or refresh only; no email, push or monitoring while closed. Numeric thresholds use the selected IMF year and source unit: %, USD billions, million people or USD/person. 2026 may be a projection. A condition match is not a live market crossing.

Central-bank comparison
Uses the countries followed in My desk. Rates are the existing September 2026 Terminal archive, not live quotes. Recent headlines and upcoming meetings are loaded separately; a headline does not update the archived rate. BIS / ECB attribution is shown on every card.
COUNTRY BRIEF / IMF WORLD ECONOMIC OUTLOOK
Your economy in 2025
Loading country access…
2025 figures may still be estimates and subject to revision. The next-year column follows the IMF projection metadata, not realised outcomes. Changes in percentage series are percentage points, not growth rates. General-government debt differs from the central-government measure in WDI. India may use fiscal-year reporting.

Official news & speeches
Choose an accessible country.
Official central-bank headlines, not an exhaustive press feed. Publication time is distinct from retrieval time. Open the source for the full article. ECB coverage is euro-area policy, not a national German or French news feed.
Upcoming releases & policy meetings
Choose an accessible country.
Official schedules only; dates can change. “Time not confirmed” means the source date is kept without a fabricated hour. No consensus, actual release value or impact score is inferred. An empty list does not mean there are no economic events.

Gaps remain gaps. Annual points are not intraday prices. Download the underlying observations to review the calculation.
Underlying observations
Compare economies
The common-year view uses the most recent year available for every selected country within the history window. Same units do not guarantee identical statistical coverage; central-government debt is especially sensitive to reporting differences.
One series, several economies
Transparent by design
What the three readings mean
Growth, inflation and labour slack each display their own series, not an opaque combined risk score. Historical position is the share of the preceding ten years with a lower reading, with ties counted at half weight. At least five prior observations are required. A high inflation or unemployment position is not a bullish signal.
Clocks, revisions and missing values
Observations are annual World Development Indicators. The latest observation year, provider update date and retrieval time have different meanings. Readings older than two calendar years are marked lagged and receive no historical score. Revised historical data is not an as-known-at-the-time backtest. No invented consensus, release calendar or trade probability is displayed.
History and comparisons
Annual observations are requested from 1970 onward, where available. The selected history window ends at the latest observation (at the latest year across selected countries for comparisons). Missing years are never interpolated. Chart averages are arithmetic means of available annual observations, not compounded returns. Overview cards always show the latest reading.
Trade and economic size
Trade openness adds exports and imports as a share of GDP; trade balance subtracts imports from exports. These calculations use matching observation years only, without filling gaps. Current-account balance is a different measure. GDP and GDP per capita in current US dollars are nominal and affected by exchange rates; they are not PPP or real-income measures. Central-government debt is not total public-sector debt.
Refresh and reliability
Official sources are checked at most daily, with a five-minute retry backoff after errors. Refresh reloads the server snapshot; it does not imply a new publication. On a source failure, last verified observations remain visible with their original retrieval time and no historical score. A successful empty source response is not replaced by old values. If a source fails before the first successful refresh, an existing official reference archive may be shown, labelled as such with its original date.
